Paid outside our service fee

Scheme contributions remain the client’s external cost.

Scheme contributions are calculated under the applicable declaration method and remain payable to the scheme by the member. A minimum annual contribution of €100 applies once a company is a member, and it rises to €250 where obstructive or household-hazardous packaging is placed on the market. Both are separate from our fees and VAT.

Minimum contribution

Belgium has no per-material allowance. Once a company is a member the minimum annual contribution applies to the total, and obstructive or household-hazardous packaging both raises it and rules out every simplified declaration method.

Rates are published to four decimals and invoiced on six, so a calculated figure is an estimate rather than an invoice. Classification decides the category; a helper can only suggest one.

Declaration logic

Three published ways to declare the same packaging.

Which method is cheapest depends on real parcel counts and weights. This site never selects a method automatically.

Detailed declaration

Weight per published material category. Mandatory for obstructive and household-hazardous packaging.

Flat-rate declaration

Consumption units per product family. The published figures already include the surcharge for this method.

E-commerce parcel declaration

Priced per parcel in three size bands. The published figures already include the surcharge, and the band definitions are not published in the rate card.

Minimum contribution

Applies to the total once a company is a member, and is higher where obstructive or household-hazardous packaging is placed.

Member declaration

Due 28 February for packaging placed on the Belgian market in the previous calendar year.

Prevention plan

Due to the regulator on a three-year cycle above published tonnage thresholds, and not covered by scheme membership.

Fost Plus amounts

The minimum annual contribution and the packaging contribution remain separate amounts charged under the client’s Fost Plus position.

VAT

VAT treatment is confirmed on the written proposal and invoice; displayed references are VAT-exclusive.

Exceptional work

Historical regularisation, translations, extra variants and work outside scope require separate approval.

Pricing questions

What is included in the service price?

Only the private work and limits set out in the written proposal. Fost Plus, VAT and external costs stay separate.

Does Standard guarantee scheme membership or a marketplace result?

No. Fost Plus and each marketplace make their own decisions. We can prepare and coordinate evidence for the agreed scope.

Does Amazon Starter include previous years?

No. Prior periods or historical regularisation make the restricted Starter route ineligible and require a separate review.

Can I select a simplified Fost Plus procedure just because it is cheaper?

No. Eligibility, available data and the calendar-year commitment must be reviewed. The ordinary calculator does not switch procedure automatically.

Is the PPWR authorised representative a tax representative or PRO?

No. Those roles must remain distinct. Any mandate and powers are defined only in a separate written engagement.
